IN THE NEWS // HYDRATE IV BAR LAUNCHES FRANCHISE OPPORTUNITY: Premier IV therapy spa Hydrate IV Bar is thrilled to announce the launch of its national franchise program during National Wellness Month. After gaining popularity within Denver and Boulder, CO over the last four years, Hydrate IV Bar is eager to expand with its first-to-market franchise in Fort Collins, CO next month. Founder Katie Wafer has always been passionate about health, wellness and holistic care.
In 2016, Wafer opened the first Hydrate IV Bar as an answer to her own question. After visiting IV clinics across the country, she knew that she wanted Hydrate IV Bar to operate a little bit differently than most — as a spa, not a clinic. Now, five locations later, Hydrate IV Bar spas still radiate the relaxing atmosphere of a spa without sacrificing the skilled professionalism of a medical office. Hydrate IV Bar’s cocktail-style menu offers services for illness, wellness, recovery, and beauty, and all of their vitamin-infused IVs and injections are administered by professional and friendly registered nurses.
When Wafer decided to scale Hydrate IV Bar nationally, she turned to friend and business mentor Amy Dickerson. The two met through their local chamber of commerce, eventually partnering to open a Hydrate IV Bar inside of Dickerson’s full-service spa, Live Love Lash in 2019.
Alongside growing her own business, Dickerson has spent more than a decade educating and training with Xtreme Lashes and mentoring other entrepreneurs through their own small business journeys. When they decided to expand their partnership to include franchising, Dickerson’s husband Chad Grote joined the trio — bringing with him decades of experience in construction and real estate.
Hydrate IV Bar is currently seeking qualified franchise candidates with a passion for health & wellness who exhibit strong leadership skills and good business acumen. The total investment needed to open a Hydrate IV Bar franchise is dependent on location, ranging between $150K-$200K. NEW BRAND // TALISMAN FINE JEWELRY: Former Goldyn boutique owner Vanessa Barcus has channeled her creativity into a new endeavor: Hand-sculpted, hand-formed fine jewelry, where sustainability and versatility play a central role. “Minimalism has always been my thing, and indeed, ‘less is more’ is the ethos that directs a lot of what I do now: Less waste, seasonlessness, genderlessness, and timelessness.” Her line, Talisman Fine Jewelry, features Barcus’ modern interpretations of classic jewelry designs. Sculpted in an intuitive, freeform fashion, the collection is made with recycled 14k gold, making it both sustainable and lending it a substantiality that feels both contemporary and ancient at once. Talisman Fine Jewelry can be found at top retailers nationwide, including Sacred Thistle in Denver, as well as online at TalismanFineJewelry.co.
NEW BRAND // STELLA FALONE : Stella Falone ebony cutting and serving boards will delight any cook with their natural beauty, fine craftsmanship, and inspiring story. The company was established by renowned acoustic guitar builder Bob Taylor (Taylor Guitars) with a desire to create a more socially and environmentally responsible supply chain for West African ebony. Traditionally used for guitar and and violin fingerboards, ebony is also perfect for cutting boards thanks to its density. In the process of selecting ebony for guitars, Taylor’s co-owned sawmill in Yaoundé, Cameroon, began setting aside pieces that didn’t fit the precise specifications needed for musical instruments but whose visual beauty and strength would be well-suited for other products.
The reversible cutting boards feature two cutting surfaces, one highlighting ebony’s dramatic striping and the other a dark, rich complexion. The materials are processed in Cameroon, and the cutting boards are built on the California campus of Taylor Guitars to the highest standards of detail and craftsmanship established by one of the world’s leading guitar manufacturers. Even better, Stella Falone supports communities in Yaoundé with living wages and safe work conditions. Proceeds from cutting board sales also help advance an ebony replanting project that has so far planted more than 15,000 new trees. StellaFalone.com
