Darlings, the time has come. Cherry Creek is slowly but surely beginning to re-open and there are glimpses of life as it once was on the horizon. As I write this month’s article, gym bunnies are pulling back on the lulu’s to not just lounge in but to sweat it out in the gym (mask in tow of course) and hair salons are firmly open - grey and split ends be gone!
During the weeks of lockdown, I have been very firmly wearing athleisure just a little too much and as indulgent as it is, it is very much time to start thinking about what to wear as we can begin to leave the house. Whether it’s for a socially distanced barbecue with friends, vino with the girls or a romantic date night with your beau, spending a little extra time now before we leave the house means you’ll be extra prepared when the time comes and also, it is a bit of fun planning in the meantime. I did a little photoshoot at my apartment to get your juices flowing for outfit ideas for summer 2020.
At the moment I am drawn to shirts with delicate puff sleeves and v-necklines, perfect for when it does get slightly chiller in the evenings whilst still looking fun and flirty. I fell in love with this shirt from Sanctuary which comes in the most gorgeous burnt, rusty orange. I teamed it with my favorite pair of jeans - however, you could rock a denim skirt if you fancy getting your pins out - get it, girl!

I’ll admit it, I am a hopeless romantic for the sixties. I just die for mini skirts and hooped earrings and wanted to create a look that had a nod to my beloved era with a modern twist by adding a band t-shirt. I’ll be proudly wearing this Elton John cartoon tee with the clashing print skirt out for a chilled glass of rose with the girls as soon as possible… who am I kidding, pass me the bottle ladies!

Lastly, I’m sure we are all dying to get dressed up for our loved one and go out for a romantic evening. I’ve still got the tag on this nude velvet wrap dress by BB Dakota which is screaming for me to go to Le Bilboquet as soon as possible for a night of good food, cocktails, and company.
Until next time Darlings, stay safe and of course, fabulous. Follow me @steffrjones
