New Charity // Gamechangers: Doing good is always in style, and Denver’s newest nonprofit, Colorado Gamechangers, was created to do just that; to give back, change the game and bring a sense of joy and normalcy to children and their families facing life-threatening medical challenges. Sometimes the game of life is not fair, but Gamechangers was established to provide children going through life-threatening medical experiences the opportunity to have fun, play games and just be a kid! Their first move was a foundation kick-off event on November 14, at the Breitling Boutique/Robert Coin Boutique. Guests had a wonderful time, thanks to the support of sponsors, 801 Chophouse, A Line Boutique, Otten, Johnson, Robinson, Neff +Ragonetti and Sweet and Savory Designs. Now it’s your move, donate games throughout the holidays at Moore for Life or give financially. The team includes Julie Gart, Allison Ruchaber, Alexis Shoop, Desire Falk, and Joe Nix. @cogamechangers

New Brand Launch // Slow Soul Life: Founded by Meçla Soyer, Slow Soul Life is a way to form a deeper relationship with the world around us, whether it be with people, art, food, or clothing. Slow Soul Life draws inspiration from the creative process of every designer. We hope to build a connection between you and the clothing by intentionally growing slow and small, adding designers one by one. At Slow Soul Life, we sell our own private label and other sustainable designers. We value human connection and growing our online community just as much as our local community. To see our collections in person, we’re available for one-on-one appointments in our Denver office.
We’re celebrating our opening by throwing a pop-up and launch party! We hope you can join us on Thursday, December 5th from 6pm-9pm at Realm. Guests will be able to shop our Slow Soul Life private collection, including our newest colors, as well as shop other consciously made brands. New Store & Launch Event // Kate Maller Jewelry: Kate Maller Jewelry’s brick and mortar officially opened on November 23rd, 2019 and carries handmade goods from a number of artisans (in addition to Kate Maller’s own line of fine jewelry) who share our commitment to sustainability. You’ll find jewelry from other jewelry makers as well as ceramics, fine mineral specimens, bags, scarves, oils, candles, and cards from artisans who uphold our high standards for quality, sustainability, and impeccable craftsmanship. All of our goods are made by hand from independent artisans across the US. Kate is trained as a designer and a metalsmith. Holding Master Degrees in Architecture and Landscape Architecture, she attributes her design sensibilities and passion for the environment to her formal training.

Event // Winterfest // Cherry Creek North: Winter Fest is a free, family-friendly event on December 14th that transforms Fillmore Plaza (between 1st and 2nd Avenues on Fillmore Street) into a winter wonderland with live ice carving, temporary fire pits, Yuletide Carolers, ice princesses on stilts, face painting, complimentary treats and warm beverages, giveaways and more.
“Cherry Creek North is more than a shopping experience; it’s a tradition,” said Jenny Starkey, Cherry Creek North BID, director of marketing and community relations. “From jewelry and fashion to spas and restaurants, visitors can stroll the streets of the District to check items off their holiday list and join us for family-friendly events like Winter Fest, all while enjoying the spirit of the season.”
In addition to the festive fun on Fillmore Plaza, businesses in the area will host free Winter Fest activations, including family-friendly activities, live entertainment and promotions for shoppers. Participating locations include the following:
-Santa will be at VIP Real Estate Co (located at 2630 E. 3rd Ave.) in partnership with AREAA (Asian Real Estate Association of America) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
-Ross-Cherry Creek Library (305 Milwaukee St.) is hosting an all-ages concert from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., featuring the East High School orchestra.
-Saks Galleries (3019 E. 2nd Ave.) is doing an artist demonstration with live carolers in the store.
-French Kande Trunk Show at Mariel Boutique (3000 E. 3rd Ave.) with cookies and giftwrapping.
-Diamond pendant giveaway at Mark’s Diamonds (3033 E. 1st Ave., Ste. 503).
