Valentine’s Day is a day that gets mixed reviews, even with people that are in relationships. We all know that one couple who loves it, shower each other in gifts and go all out, whilst others believe it’s overrated and would rather stay at home cuddled up on the couch. I believe that you should celebrate your partner all year round, but hey, let’s be honest - we all LOVE to get glammed up and have a special night out, whether that’s with your girlfriends or your love.
So, whether you’re having a V-Day party with your girls and some dudes named Ben & Jerry (I did this last year, it was amazing, no shame!) or you're having a romantic date night at a swanky restaurant and being adorned in gifts (get it girl!) there’s a look below that's perfect for any plans you might have. The best bit, yes they work for V-Day but you can work these gorgeous looks for plenty of other occasions, win-win my friends.
LOOK 1: MAKE A STATEMENT
Have a dinner reservation waiting for you? Pull out all the stops in this must-have sheer dress which is undeniably eye-catching. Wear it with booties for a more relaxed look or strappy heels for a fun night out. Whether you’re out with your boo-thang or looking for love this number will ensure all eyes are firmly on you. Did I mention it's to die for? Yeh - this one is a keeper!
LOOK 2: EXTRA POLISHED
One-shoulder in my opinion always looks seriously chic, especially with a pair of heels and some statement jewelry. A bit of sparkle it makes it seem like you just threw all this together in the best way possible. The only thing this outfit is missing is a pink cocktail in hand.
LOOK 3: THE TRENDY LOOK
Whether you’re grabbing drinks with friends or meeting at someone’s house for a Galentine’s get-together, this look is fashion-forward and not too on the nose this V-Day. Opt for this snake print jacket by IRO (just picture this afterward with your fave pair of jeans, dreamy!), a pleated long skirt, and a pair of nude heels to keep it clean and sleek.
LOOK 4: SEPARATES
A dress is obviously NOT required, people. Wearing a funky pair of pants with your favorite tee or sweater looks just as sophisticated, especially with a pair of pointy-toe pumps. February 14 is a Friday this year, FYI, so you can wear this look to work and a happy hour after.
