Darlings, I’m excited to bring you another edition of Home and Away – this time, dedicated to my home city of Denver. You guys know I’m all about a weekend getaway, and recently I decided to leave my beloved streets of Cherry Creek behind and venture downtown to the newly renovated luxury stay that is Four Seasons Denver.

I’m a huge fan of Four Seasons. I mean, where else can you get style and sophistication with unparalleled service? It’s abundantly clear that Four Seasons train their employees to a higher standard that really stands out and believe me, makes a difference, mostly in little ways.

This was about to be a magical mystery tour and I could not wait. Upon arrival, the service at the Four Seasons was seamless, efficient, and polished across the board. This was true at check-in, where everything was ready for me including my room key for the early check-in I had requested. I had been told that the hotel was newly renovated and reimagined, and whilst I had not seen the property in person, it was safe to say the decor was night and day in comparison to the google search I had undertaken before arrival. The entrance lobby was light, bright, and incredibly chic.

Whilst my luggage was taken up to my room, I headed to every girl's favorite destination - the spa. The spa has quite the reputation in Denver as being the ultimate location for a pampering session, to truly unwind and relax. Everything about it was perfection, the staff, the faint acoustic music in the background not to mention the delightfully fluffy robes ideal for snuggling up in whilst kicking back in the relaxation room and waiting for my first treatment to begin.

Now Darlings, I don’t know about you, but I’m sure I’m not the only one of us that always wants optimum results whilst not always putting in 110% effort. Let me explain further  - we all want a tight, peachy, perky Jennifer Lopez ass without killing ourselves for hours each day on a stepper… or possibly a toned, defined torso is more your vibe - (think Shakira in Hips Don’t Lie…I die) without doing thousands of sit-ups and kissing goodbye to that daily vanilla latte we love. I have discovered the answer and it is surgery, pain, and recovery-free. You think I’m kidding right? Nope! It’s called EmSculpt and it’s the answer to all of the above. You simply lay back, relax and enjoy your gorgeous surroundings for thirty minutes whilst chatting away to your therapist (Hey Rachel!). I’ve been wanting to try EmSculpt forever and this was the perfect way to do it - with the added perk of access to all of the dreamy spa features which you’d never get in a clinical medi-spa environment. This is a nonsurgical solution to what would take WEEKS of working out resulting in firming and tightening with no effort. Now, that's a workout I’d say yes to every day Darlings. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to up their toning game, it’s a real game-changer, the vibrating plates work your deep core muscles and make them contract for optimum results. Easy, peasy, six-pack breezy.

After my highly stimulating non-workout, workout, I decided to try out yet another first for me, a Biologique Recherche Cold-Therapy Facial. You read that correctly - it was cold aka chilly, kinda freezing to be honest at times, and yet was actually wonderful. I’m always really worried about trying new treatments on my skin, it’s hyper-sensitive and loves to reward me for my dedication to better it with a delightful Rudolph red spot or two right in the middle of my face. April (my incredibly charming pixie-handed therapist) talked me through the treatment and informed me that the Four Seasons Denver is one of only two locations in Colorado that offer the treatment aka - it’s incredibly exclusive, which in general means I’ll love it. April also said the brand is French, très bien, j’adore it even more. If anyone knows how to get flawless skin it’s the French. OUI - GIVE IT TO ME.

I laid back for fifty minutes of utter and somewhat smelly bliss. I know, sounds weird but this facial is like no other, it’s bespoke and designed to show instant results by using a curated cocktail of serums and masks which contain active ingredients (hence the smelly) that get to work right away on your skin. Imagine sniffing apple cider vinegar whilst getting the most incredible contouring facial massage of your life - believe me, those pixie hands I mentioned previously feel so, damn, good that you quickly forget the unusual scents around you whilst you drift off into relaxation heaven. I left with plump, hydrated, and incredibly soft skin - for weeks after there’s also not been a blemish in sight. Magnifique!

Next on my day of pure bliss was a Swedish Body Massage with the spa’s lead therapist Rachel. We all know what a Swedish Massage is, it’s is nothing out of the ordinary, but let me tell you all - Rachel, however, is. Brief history, she came to the mile-high city after working in Beverly Hills for over a decade, and let me tell you Darlings, what she does in fifty minutes is simply outstanding. She is a master of her craft and that massage was such a treat. Do yourselves a huge favor and give her a visit, I’m totally going to regret telling you all this when there are no appointments available in the future but she is worth her weight in gold. Your body will thank you later.

After the most relaxing day of my life, I headed up to check out my room and prepare for dinner and cocktails at the hotel’s restaurant - EDGE. All of the rooms at the hotel have also undergone a major facelift over the past twelve months resulting in a modern look.  The icy greys, rich blues, and crisp white color palettes are complimented with grained wood and stone which reflects both the Denver skyline and the Rockies perfectly - oh yeh, I forgot to mention you can view the mountains in all their glory from the bedrooms’ oversized panoramic windows. After getting ready in the very generously sized bathroom (always a pet peeve of mine when hotel’s skimp on bathroom size - I'm sure I’m not the only one that wants a full-sized bubble bath, double vanity unit, generously sized shower, and room to spread out all of my toiletries right?!) I was ready to experience the brand new EDGE restaurant.

I was seated in one of the freshly upholstered classically off-white leather booths, which would comfortably seat four. I’m always a fan of mixing fabrics and textures, the smoothness of the leather seating contrasting against the cool marble surfaced table tops mixed with the plush teal velvet circular booths opposite resulted in an overall sleek effect, giving the diner an experience of being surrounded in luxury. I decided to go for the Prime Porterhouse - 32oz of delicious prime steak seasoned and cooked to perfection. On the side, I ordered potato gratin which was unreal (complete with creme fraiche and bacon) with asparagus to add a little greenery to my indulgent feast. The service was impeccable and I washed it all down with a flute of prosecco. To be honest, I had no room for dessert - however, my server convinced me to try the strawberry mango pot de creme, complete with coconut dacquoise, honeycomb, and mango ice cream. Words cannot even describe how refreshing, light and scrumptious it really was! It honestly was hard to leave what I couldn’t finish and my mouth waters now just thinking of it. All in all, I had a fabulous dining experience in a lively, buzzing atmosphere - something I’m sure we have all missed during the past year. I sank into my feathery soft bed that evening feeling like a pampered princess.

I’m generally a terrible sleeper in new environments for at least a couple of evenings but as soon as my head hit the wonderfully high thread count pillow I passed out. I awoke refreshed and well-rested. The day was my oyster and with the Four Seasons being located in the heart of downtown, I was within walking distance from Little Owl Coffee (a firm favorite), Larimer Square, Union Station, and many other restaurants, bars, and shops. If there’s a location you have your eye on that’s out of walking distance, you can also get a lift from the complimentary hotel car service - winning!

Hat’s off to the Four Season’s Denver. A splendid stay, perfect for a weekend getaway to really relax, unwind and enjoy all that the mile-high city has to offer in style. The freshly renovated space is one of a kind, the epitome of class and sophistication, and Darlings, they have the most wonderful offer available at the moment, book two nights and get your third night free. Whether you are from afar or looking for a staycation, there is simply nowhere else in the Rockies you’d rather be. Trust me.
