Editor's Letter September 2020
EDITOR’S LETTER
Welcome to THE SEPTEMBER FALL FASHION ISSUE!
How is it fall already!? I know that we all feel robbed of the summer and the goodness it brings, but let’s try to embrace the upcoming season in whatever way we can. It’s hard to think of fashion when the world continues to suffer from Covid 19, economic uncertainty and the continued fight for racial equality but hopefully this issue can provide a brief escape from the turmoil. Pull on your favorite boots, wrap yourself in warm blazer or light coat, and enjoy whatever pleasure and joy fashion can provide now.
Our cover star this month is Dr. Jasper Bartolome, a practicing dentist and style leader in the community. I have followed her for a while on Instagram so I was very excited to learn more about her background, in the facinating interview by our Culture & Style Editor Annie Bloj.
Our feature story highlights the Denver designer Keti Mckenna, and we catch up with Stylist Koya Nyangi who shares her favorite designers from the African Continent. I always love featuring my fellow Editors, so we asked Carlee Henderson of Flora Fauna Magazine to share her top 10 favorite things for the season.
The Cherry Creek Shopping Center has an exciting new addition with the opening of the Hermès boutique. Our Columnist Stefanie Jones reports on the new store, and models some looks from the Fall Winter 2020 collection.
There is so much more for you to read in this issue! Enjoy and until next month…
