Editor's Letter October 2020
EDITOR’S LETTER
Welcome to the OCTOBER MEN’S ISSUE
It’s that time of year again when we search the streets, look through binders full of data, and get secret information from friends and acquaintances to find the most interesting men in the city.
Our cover star this month is former Bronco and soon to be Doctor of Physical Therapy, David Bruton Jr. David talks to our Culture & Style Editor Annie Bloj about life after football, and why athletes should be speaking up about injustices.
Our feature story is John Zakhem, the Managing Partner at Zakhem Real Estate Group. John shares his family history in Colorado, his tour of duty during Operation Desert Storm, and his life in the financial and real estate world.
I have been stalking Larry Herz on Instagram for a while on his page @ocn_eats, where he promotes restaurants across the city. As a former restauranteur, Larry knows good food when he tastes it so his recommendations are highly regarded.
Duncan Oil’s Kevin V. Duncan talks to our new writer Michael Silverman about his life’s passion for mountaineering and his philanthropic work with the Juniper Fund.
We visit Bruto in Free Market to find out more about their Advocacy Pop-Up and work with Chef Tajahi Cooke who specializes in Ital Food. He’s from Jamaica and I am from Saint Lucia in the Caribbean, so we hit it off instantly!
Our other features this month include Kenji Sterr from Narrative Insurance, and one of the best-dressed guys in Cherry Creek; the new GM of one of my favorite places Le Bilboquet, Gavin Berry; and one of the founders of the new brand Sunday’s Spirits, Suchit Majmudar.
Enjoy this issue, always reach out to me with any comments or feedback, and keep sending us these binders full of men! Until next month.
