Editor's Letter November 2019
EDITOR’S LETTER
Welcome to THE NOVEMBER ISSUE 2019
This issue is all about WHAT TO WEAR NOW. November is usually a weird month for fashion and personal style. Living in Denver means that the weather may be the perfect fall temperature that requires the essential Saville Row inspired blazer and knee high leather boots. It also means that there might be a snow storm and freezing cold temperatures, where the most practical (yet still stylish) of footwear is needed. This issue is all about inspiring you and sharing style advice on what to wear now!
Our cover star is the well known fashion influencer Ranti Onayemi-Blanchard whose modern, clean, edgy yet still classic style provides countless ideas for improving one’s wardrobe. Culture & Style Editor Annie Bloj and I are huge fans, so it was a delight to spend time with the style star.
Our feature story this month is Terri Garbarini, owner of Garbarini Boutique in Cherry Creek North. Terri welcomed us into her beautiful new home in Hilltop that she designed.
We are welcoming our first columnist to the magazine! TV host Stefanie Jones, who graced our September Issue and has reported on the international catwalks around the world, will be sharing her very British take on living in Cherry Creek. This month, her column Stef In The City focuses on her four favorite trends of the season.
For our segment CULTURED, I interviewed the very interesting and talented Bryant Palmer. Bryant is the founder of Oh Hey Creative and the Chief Storyteller at Stanley Marketplace.
Two very impressive women round out our profiles this month. The first is the owner of The Diamond Reserve, Kaeleigh Testwuide, who has built a very successful company creating custom jewelry. The second is the founder of the wine company Wander + Ivy, Dana Spauling. We photographed Dana at home while she shared how she built her business,
We are also introducing a new feature this month called Dispatches, where Denver personalities share personal photos and experiences from their trips abroad. This month A Line’s Karmen Berensten and Designer CR LEE give us a look at their trips to Paris.
Enjoy this issue and stay warm out there! Until next month…
