Welcome to The April Escape Issue! Who misses travel, raise your hands. After canceling multiple international trips to see family and seek new adventures last year, I am in desperate need of a vacay, wherever that may be. I’m sure that many of you are now at peak cabin fever, so I hope that this issue gives you a little escape from the everyday reality that is our life these days.
Our cover star is the wonderful Paula Crown, owner of The Little Nell in Aspen. This mountain town is a natural escape for us Cherry Creekers and Denverites, and again this time, it did not disappoint. Our feature story focuses on South Korea-based model and actress Phoebe Corey who gives us a tour of her favorite area in Seoul, the fashion and luxury district of Gangnam.
I am from Saint Lucia in the Caribbean, so of course we cover the region in this issue with advice on where to vacation now from the Caribbean’s best travel expert Kelly Fontenelle. You can also bring the Caribbean to your doorstep with the new luxury fashion and home brands website, PAPAIŸO, with some of my favorite Caribbean designers that I modeled for in my teens, The CLOTH and Meiling. We haven’t forgotten those of you who love to celebrate an international destination with food, with Chef Tajahi Cooke sharing his recipe for Jamaican Ital Stew.
Narkita Gold is a rising star in the Denver Art Scene and in this issue we escape with her to the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver to view her recent exhibit, Black In Denver. So much more in this issue! We hope that The April Escape Issue cures a bit of that cabin fever. Enjoy and see you next month!
