The Must Have Cutting Edge Beauty Treatment, InfiniVive Facial, with Dr. Jack Zamora
For this month’s Beauty Issue, Editor in Chief ESTHER LEE LEACH goes on a search for the fountain of youth and discovers the InfiniVive Facial at Jack Zamora MD Cosmetic Surgery & Aesthetics.
I am in my fortieth year. In November, I will be celebrating the big 4-0! In the midst of this pandemic, my thoughts are on staying healthy, keeping my family safe, and trying to stay sane with a four-year-old at home, instead of the fabulous party that I should be planning. With all of this hiding out at home with a makeup-free face and all-day pajamas, I started thinking about my increasing age and what that will do to my face and looks. Let’s admit it, we all analyze our faces way too much in the mirror!
With this Beauty Issue for the magazine approaching, I started researching the most cutting edge techniques to improve my face and regain that youthful glow. As a black woman, I am very picky about who touches my skin, any wrong move and I could be stuck with a brown spot or scarring for years. One of the few people I trust to treat my face is the incomparable Dr. Jack Zamora of Jack Zamora MD Cosmetic Surgery and Aesthetics. Dr. Zamora is world renewed in his field and has created the InfiniVive Facial which is as cutting edge as it gets. He is also well versed in caring for darker skin like mine, so I had zero hesitations.
According to Zamora’s office, ‘The InfiniVive Facials are the next level in beautification. With varying levels of InfiniVive Facials – Levels 1 to 4 – clients can select the beautification treatment that’s best for them. The facial can include a single advanced energy service (Radiofrequency Microneedling) or a select combination of advanced energy services to address different skin concerns such as pigmentation, fine lines, hydration, and skin tone. InfiniVive Facials use a topical beautifying serum which was developed from proprietary stem cell technology to help promote natural healing, and clients will notice visibly smoother, softer and younger-looking skin.’
After a consultation, Dr. Zamora recommended the following for my facial needs; the Agnes (Radiofrequency Macroneedling), the Scarlett (Radiofrequency Microneedling), LaseMD and the InfiniVive Cosmetic Stem Cell Serum. The appointment began with a skin analysis using the Visia machine and then the application of face numbing cream that was left on for about 45 mins. I was then taken to a treatment room to begin the process! Dr. Zamora was assisted by Jaclyn Zamora whose bedside manner is the best in the business! I used laughing gas to help with the minimal pain and I was told later on that I mumbled something about being on a dance floor in London. I blame the laughing gas!
The first treatment given by Dr. Zamora was the Agnes. This is known as a non-surgical facelift. According to Dr. Zamora, ‘The Agnes is radiofrequency macroneedling which uses the stable and effective technology of radiofrequency to specifically target a variety of tissue types and depths. Macroneedling uses a single probe which can be applied at different lengths and configurations to customize the treatment for skin tightening or tissue coagulation. The micro-insulated needle delivers the RF energy directly into fat pads located under the chin or under the eyes to permanently reduce the fat and tighten skin. The Radiofrequency (RF) energy can also be delivered at different depths of the dermis to create skin tightening and sculpting of the jawline and improve jowls.’
Next up was the Scarlett, radiofrequency microneedling which tightens the skin, improves the appearance of wrinkles and lines, as well as diminishes scars, and large pores. The treatment is nonsurgical and I saw immediate results with my skin looking firmer than before the treatment. ‘Microneedling stimulates the body's own wound healing response, encouraging existing dermal fibers and triggering new collagen and elastin production to improve the tone and texture of the skin. Radiofrequency Microneedling is safe for all skin types and tones which makes it an exceptional rejuvenation option for darker skin types who cannot have laser treatments due to pigmentation risks.’ explained Dr. Zamora.
Even though there were many needles involved so far, I didn’t feel a thing except for a small pinch now and again. The third treatment was the LaseMD which according to Dr. Zamora ‘rebuilds glowing, healthy skin and helps reduce fine lines, improve texture and tone, and treat actinic keratosis. LaseMD uses a gentle but effective non-ablative Fractional Fiber Thulium Laser that gently creates mico-holes in the skin to deliver energy. Skin is able to better absorb topical nutrients post-treatment. Visible improvement in the tone, texture, and overall quality of the skin can be seen after just one treatment. LaseMD is safe for all skin types which makes it an excellent skin rejuvenation option.’
The last step in my InfiniVive Facial was the application of the InfiniVive Cosmetic Stem Cell Serum. This serum contains ultra-pure topical umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells and exosomes. InfiniViveMD Stem Cell Serum is designed to moisturize and hydrate the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and help promote natural healing.
At the end of the facial, my skin was a bit red and my jaw was swollen but that quickly went down after a few hours at home. It’s been two weeks since I had this transformational treatment and I can see the early results. I am still healing but my jawline is much tighter and my skin is firmer. The surface is also smoother, my brown spots are fading and my skin is glowing. According to Dr. Zamora, I will continue to see more changes in the weeks and months ahead. I can lift my 30-year-old looking face high and slide confidently into my forties!
