DISPATCHES FROM PARIS: Jeanie and Cindy, SOL Lingerie
Dispatches is a new column in the magazine, taking readers behind the scenes to international destinations all around the world with well-known personalities from Denver and beyond. They share personal photos and experiences from their work trips and vacation spots. This month, sisters Jeanie and Cindy, owners of SOL Lingerie in Cherry Creek flew to Paris with 23 of their customers. SOL is the first Lingerie store to bring customers to Lingerie Fashion Week.
DAY ONE
Day one with our 23 Paris SOL Girls was magical! We kicked off the trip with a private boat tour down the Seine that included champagne (of course!) and a lovely gift from Eberjey. We loved our new and oh-so-soft PJ gift!
After drifting past Paris landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and chatting about our plans for the trip, we debarked our private boat and made our way to a private shopping night at the Empreinte Store - ooh la la, lovely bras! We enjoyed incredible food, delicious champagne, and a special greeting from Empreinte CEO Philipe Bertheaux who gifted us a private tour of the Musee D'Orsey.
We finished our evening at the Effiel Tower's Jules Verne Restaurant. The food and company was magnifique!
DAY TWO
Another day in our favorite city! Our private tour of the Musee D'Orsey (Thank You Empreinte!) was incredible. What a feeling to be in the same room as such beautiful works of art.
After a brief rest, we whisked our 23 SOL Girls to a stunning celebration of PrimaDonna and Marie Jo, the maker of the iconic Daisy Bra. This party was in celebration of 100 years of corsetry, bras, swimsuits and more. We met members of the Marie Jo founding family, viewed a retrospective fashion show, and enjoyed a night of glamour and fashion!
DAY THREE
Our final day in Paris was filled with firsts for our SOL Girls, firsts for Lingerie Fashion Week, and of course lots of Lingerie and champagne! We were welcomed into the VIP booth at the Salon International Lingerie (think 2 massive floors FILLED with pretty things) and then escorted to the Lingerie Fashion Show. We sat front row to view the new Fall and Winter bras and panties along with beautiful sleepwear. Sitting front row at a fashion show in Paris had us swooning!
We ended the night with a private shopping event at the Lise Charmel store where we had fashion sketch artist Caroline Montigneaux Burdinat sketching the night, special gifts (hello, gorgeous silk camisole!) from Lise Charmel, and more champagne! It was the perfect end to a PERFECT SOL Girl trip to Paris!
